Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is for all birth-5 year olds and their parents. Events and activities are planned and set up for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their parents throughout the year to promote learning and exploring during the early years of your child’s life. Parenting topics are discussed, and activities are developmentally appropriate for your child to grow and learn at every age.

School Readiness

School Readiness is a program that provides children with various opportunities to enter school with the skills and behaviors needed for them to progress. Early Childhood staff will help your child learn skills that are important for school success, and provide Early Childhood Special Education or speech services if needed. Curriculum and lessons are planned around each child’s specific needs.

 Parent volunteers are always welcome and encouraged!

Please call the office to register your child for School Readiness classes (465-4222- Plummer Site).
Busing is also available on regular routes. More information will be coming out in the ECFE/School Readiness newsletter.

Classes available this year include:

3 ½-4 year olds: Wednesdays 8:00am-3:00pm
Children with birthdates before 3/16/06 can start September 15, 2009.  Those who are born after 3/16/06 will start January 6, 2010.

4-5 year olds: Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00-3:00pm
Children who are 4 years old by August 31, 2009

Preschool classes start the week of September 14, 2009
