Welcome Back!
The summer break is quickly drawing to a close, with the school starting for students on Tuesday, September 7th. So if you know of a new neighbor with children give us a call or have them give us a call so we can get them the needed information and get them set up for school. The school websites www.rlccelementary.org for the Elementary and www.oklee.k12.mn.us for the High School has a lot of news and information for families and students.
The fall sport seasons began on Monday August 16th. The varsity volleyball team has a scrimmage on Aug. 26 and their first match on Sept. 2. The football team has a scrimmage on Aug. 28 and their first game on Sept. 3. The websites have the complete schedules for all the teams in both sports. The Sports Boosters are in need of a new leader, there are many people willing to help, but we still need that one person to get things rolling. Please get involved as they help provide many opportunities for our student-athletes as well as financial support to families and athletes.
The schools have been busy this summer with educational programs, summer recreation, and some building improvements. We had the North Star program in Plummer this year with around 20 kids participating two days per week. Extended school year services, and Early Childhood Special Education services, and the elementary summer reading program, were all held at the elementary school.
